A step forward in strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting sustainable agriculture — the District Horticulture Department, Alipurduar, successfully organized a One-Day Training-cum-Vegetable Seed and Sapling Distribution Program at BANCHAYA Village. 🌱
The program was graced by the presence of Dr. S. Subba, Sub-Divisional Horticulture Officer, and Dr. Biswanath Sarkar, Joint Director of Agriculture, Alipurduar District, whose valuable insights and guidance inspired the participants. Their presence added great motivation to the farmers and villagers, encouraging them to adopt modern yet eco-friendly agricultural practices.
During the training session, participants learned about improved vegetable cultivation techniques, soil health management, organic methods, and the importance of local biodiversity in sustainable farming. The practical demonstration and discussion helped local farmers understand how small-scale initiatives can lead to long-term community growth and food security.
The event concluded with the distribution of quality vegetable seeds and saplings, enabling participants to put their learning into practice right away. The initiative aimed not only to enhance food production but also to encourage self-reliance and eco-conscious cultivation in the Banchaya area.
Heartfelt thanks to the District Horticulture Department and the Alipurduar District Administration for their continuous efforts to empower rural communities through agriculture-based training and outreach programs.
🙏 BANCHAYA Village is grateful to be part of this meaningful initiative — where culture, community, and cultivation grow hand in hand. 🌿
